Celebrating Lauren Cook’s Recognition as a 2026 Academy of Women Achievers

We’re proud to celebrate Ellis CEO Lauren Cook, who was honored on June 4 as part of the 2026 Academy of Women Achievers, presented by YW Boston. This prestigious recognition highlights women leaders whose vision, leadership, and dedication are creating lasting change across Greater Boston.

Held at the Westin Copley Place during YW Boston’s 160th anniversary year, the 31st annual ceremony brought together civic, nonprofit, and business leaders to honor five exceptional women advancing equity and opportunity throughout the region. Lauren was recognized for her leadership at Ellis Early Learning and her unwavering commitment to expanding access to high-quality early education and family support.

Each year, the Academy of Women Achievers celebrates individuals who are strengthening their communities and shaping a more just and inclusive future. Lauren now joins an extraordinary group of past honorees, including Governor Maura Healey, Anita Hill, Senator Liz Miranda, Zamawa Arenas, Beverly Daniel Tatum, Saskia Epstein, Betty Francisco, Aisha Francis-Samuels, Ann Fudge, and Andrea Silbert.

“This honor reflects the impactful work of the entire Ellis team,” Lauren shared. “I’m deeply humbled to be recognized alongside such inspiring leaders and grateful for the opportunity to uplift our mission alongside women who are driving meaningful change.”

This year’s cohort of honorees represented a dynamic cross-section of leadership across education, community services, financial institutions, and higher education. Together, they exemplify the kind of bold, purpose-driven leadership that is helping to build a more equitable Boston.

We’re grateful to celebrate this milestone with our Ellis community. Recognitions like this are only possible through our collective dedication to the Ellis mission and the children and families we serve every day.
