Ellis Back to School Welcome Celebrations!

Updated: Sep 27

Each year, Ellis welcomes new and returning families to our two Ellis campuses for a celebration to kick of the school year. Despite a heat wave at one celebration and storms threatening the other, everyone had fun!

At Ellis-JP on September 13th, the day was an absolute scorcher! Summer wanted to make a comeback, and we were not complaining! Bubbles were floating through the air, popsicles cooled the children and made for sticky hands, and our little friends were dancing around as our music teacher, Mr. Phil, played some groovy tunes. The biggest hit was Wheels on the Bus.

A storm came rushing in on September 20th at our South End location, but that didn’t bring us down! Ms. Vanessa brought her beautiful voice and all her instruments, from drums to her bright red guitar, to our Music and Movement Studio at 66 Berkeley. The little ones and their families were running, jumping, and rolling around as they waved pretty scarves and parachutes above their heads. Others sat enjoying the music and their ice cream on that chilly day. A huge thank you to the South End Police Department for braving the storm and serving joy to all of our young learners.

Our young learners have achieved so much, whether moving to a new classroom with new teachers or accomplishing an educational milestone. We are so proud of all of our students and hope they have an awesome new school year!
