Join the Ellis Early Learning Fund

The Ellis Early Learning Fund is an annual program inviting and recognizing charitable support at leadership levels and is essential to our success.

Ellis is a rare model for equitable, exceptional early education, but we need your help to close our cost gap so we can prevent achievement gaps that can begin early and last a lifetime.

Ellis must fundraise $2 million this year to sustain our programming and continue to provide high-quality education and care to every child and family we serve.

Two-thirds of Ellis families receive government subsidies to afford child care, but the government reimbursement rate doesn't come close to covering the cost of their care at Ellis.

Over 20% of Ellis children have open cases with the Massachusetts Department of Children & Families, and many have experienced neglect and live in foster care. Your support ensures Ellis has the necessary team and resources in place to best support our families.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

Gifts to the Ellis Early Learning Fund are used for essential operating costs, including:

  • Providing 3 meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and snacks), recognizing that "food is the most important school supply."

  • Paying highly skilled educators equitably.

  • Ensuring we have a team of social workers to support our children and families, particularly children with difficult family situations.

  • Meeting the basic needs of our families, including diapers, warm clothing, and securing housing and employment.

  • Helping to pay for professional development training days for our teachers, building our high-quality programs, and supporting their personal career growth.

Thank you for your support!
