School Age

33 Children in the South End

Ellis has pivoted to providing full-time remote learning support to school age children during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to daily remote learning support, enrichment opportunities are provided through art, gym, and more.

Ellis' school age program, serving 5 - 12 year olds, provides fun, engaging, and meaningful out of school time opportunities after school, during school vacations, and during the summer.

After-school programming includes an hour of homework supervision/assistance, a healthy snack, and time to talk about what’s going on at school, at home, in sports, in the news, and more. Students then spend an hour attending one of three different clubs each week -- clubs they have chosen according to their interests, curriculum and age groups.

During summer and school vacations, Ellis hosts a full-day program from 8am - 6pm with daily field trips around Boston and beyond, soccer, tennis, lacrosse, cooking, dance, music, reading competitions and activities in support of maintaining academic year gains and avoiding “summer learning loss.”
